FROM SCREEN TO PAPER

Printing Guide

Simple steps for a great-looking printable.

1. Download your PDF

Choose the coloured or black-and-white download beneath the printable. Save the PDF to your device and open it in a PDF viewer. For member printables, sign in first.

2. Choose your paper

Use the paper size shown in the PDF or activity instructions. Match the paper size in your print settings to the paper in your printer, such as A4 or US Letter. Plain paper works well for worksheets; card can help reusable games last longer if your printer supports it.

3. Check the preview

Choose portrait or landscape to match the page. Use “Fit” or “Fit to printable area” if the edges are being cut off. For activities that require an exact size, choose “Actual size” or 100% and follow the activity instructions.

4. Pick your colour settings

Use the colour PDF with colour printing, or choose the black-and-white version where available. Check ink levels if colours look faded, and try normal or high quality instead of draft mode.

5. Print one test page

Check the size and edges before printing the whole set. Print single-sided unless the activity says otherwise. Memory games may ask you to print two copies—check the instructions on the printable.

6. Cut, play and enjoy

Let the ink dry before cutting. An adult should help younger children with scissors. For reusable activities, laminate after printing if you wish.

Something not looking right?

  • Missing edges: match the paper size and select Fit.
  • Blank or incomplete page: download the file again and open the saved PDF in a PDF viewer.
  • Blurry print: print the PDF download rather than a screenshot or the blog page.
  • Phone or tablet: save the PDF to Files or Downloads, then use your device’s Print option with a compatible printer.
